  • Serger Basics, the machine looks scary, but I will show you how easy it is to use!

Using a serger isn’t as bad as it looks! Learn how to thread, keep up and clean, change feet and adjust your stitches for perfectly balanced serging!

Many people are terrified of this machine because it looks so different; it’s intimidating, with four thread cones, two needs, and a cutting blade. OH MY!

But, I promise you that serging is simple, fast, and fun; this class will have you up and running quickly and confidently!

All Sales Are Final.

No Refunds or Returns.If there is damage during shipping, I will do my best to replace the item quickly.  Contact me within the first two days of receiving the product and email me with a picture of the damaged product (after opening the container), along with a photo of the shipping container before the product was opened.** I want you to enjoy what I make, but it is the BUYERS responsibility to notify me of any issues promptly. **

Class Policies

Class Policies for Cancellations & Payments

Full payment is due upon signing up/registering for the class.
• 100% of fees will be credited to another course if the student reschedules via the website under their account, up to but no more than four days before the scheduled class CANCELLATION LESS THAN 4 DAYS before the registered class date, there will be no credit.
  • 75% of your original fee will be credited to the reschedule (if done after the cutoff time); IF I can reschedule someone in your spot, the 25% fee that is kept will be used for admin costs of having to try to book your original time slot.
  • There are no exceptions, which ensures that other students waiting for a seat do not miss learning opportunities due to late cancellations.

No-shows give up any refund or exchange.

**Classes canceled by the studio will receive class credit in the amount of the scheduled class. You will receive a coupon code to use to reschedule.

*We try to limit class cancelations. However, there may be times when a class must be canceled, and if this happens, you will receive an email with a coupon code to reschedule your course at your convenience.

Please let me know if you prefer that I automatically put you in the next class scheduled.

Class policies Times:

All classes start on time. Please be prompt if you can arrive 5 minutes early for set up, but please no more than 5 minutes before.

I sometimes have offsite classes, private lessons, or appointments before the class.

If you use freeways to reach us, please know about the rush-hour traffic and plan accordingly.

***If you are over 15 minutes late and have NOT communicated with me via text message (937-495-9353) that you are running late, you will lose your spot or forfeit your class. You must schedule a private lesson or reregister for the class at your own cost. Please make sure you give yourself time for traffic and travel.

Class policies Returns/Refunds:

There are no refunds, and all sales are final. However, if you follow the policy, you will get class credit for the amount paid and the class scheduled, and you must reschedule within the policy as well. If you are in a group class, you will be moved to the next available class automatically. 

If you cancel before the 4-day cut, you will receive a class credit for the value of the purchased class tied to the purchased class (e.g., private lesson, group class “sewing 101”).

You must reschedule within seven days from the original class date within the next 15 days, or the fee will be forfeited. If you are within the reschedule policy, you should be able to reschedule through your account; if you cannot edit your class in your account, the grace period for rescheduling has passed.

**Buy 3 or 5 and schedule later**—With these bulk buys, only one class can be rescheduled from the original date, and it can be rescheduled once.
